Google introduces Image Swirl, the wonder wheel for images One of the things the Microsoft searchengines, now Bing, have always been good at is image search. It was always a pleasure searching through images on the Microsoft engines. Google is now trying to catch up with that quickly. After the launch of Similar Images they now launch Google Image Swirl. If for example you search for the Eiffel Tower you will get an overview of 12 different images of the Eiffel Tower. All the images seem to have more images 'hidden' behind them. ![]() If you click on of the thumbnails a "swirl" will unfold. Within that swirl you can click on other images who themselves will have related (similar) images also. ![]() Image Swirl is now available in Google Labs and works for more than 200,000 queries which Google intends to expand in the near future.
