Google Wave gets its own app store

In London yesterday Google organized the Google Wave GTUG (Google Technology User Group). This sessions is part of the round trip Google Wave- developers are making through Europe. At the end of the week they will be visiting eComm in Amsterdam.

In London yesterday the Google Wave team announced a couple of interesting features. They showed the latest APIs and thinks we can expect in the future. Next to several new functionalities they also announced a Wave App Store.

In the app store, off course based on the success of the Apple app store, developers can add their own apps and earn money with the apps.

An app store for Wave could become one of the biggest success factors of Wave. Where the application now seems kind of 'empty', successful apps can help users get the most out of the possibilities of Wave.

Other features which were talked about in London are:

- "Hooks" which will invoke actions
- prioritization of waves
- Merging of waves
- Use Google Wave within networks and organizations, like an intranet
