Follow what's going on at SMX West

The final day of SMX West is about to start. After the much talked about keynote by Danny Sullivan yesterday, today on stage we can see appearances by for example John Batelle and Matt Cutts.

For most Europeans this event is too far away so we will have to do with the coverage provided by others. But where to look for coverage on this event which is one of the most interesting in the world at this time?

There are several ways you can 'follow' SMX West. If you really have the time and don't want to miss out on anything you'll want real time coverage. But if that's too much for you you can also read back many blogposts. We want to give you an overview of where you can find coverage.

Live coverage:
Barry Schwartz (Rustybrick) is doing great live coverage of SMX West on Seroundtable. By using a special twitter-like tool it's easy to follow the sessions Barry is following.

Twitter live coverage
There are a lot of visitors to SMX West who Twitter. Too many to follow all of them. Some interesting ones are:

Danny Sullivan
John Batelle
Matt Cutts
Warren Whitlock

But there are easier ways of following the tweets. Off course you can use the search Twitter offers itself. Another way of finding out what's going on at SMX through Twitter is using TweetDeck. By doing a search on "SMX" a special column is created with only tweets about SMX in them.

Sites covering sessions:
Some sites choose to send bloggers to the event to blog about the specific sessions, kind of the way Searchcowboys and Dutchcowboys always do. There are some interesting ones:

SEMpdx is covering the event with blogpost on several sessions.
Lisa Barone is writing about several different sessions on Outspokenmedia.com. She is partly blogging it live.
Bruce Clay has several bloggers who are live covering sessions. The posts are long but very accurate.
WebproNews has Mike Sachoff covering the event. His postings are mostly short but very to the point.

Day-to-day coverage
Off course Searchengineland is covering te entire event. They are wrapping up posts about SMX West every day like this one on day two. A very usefull overview of posts around the web, and finally OBS News has some video coverage of the event.
