Looking forward to SES Berlin

Tomorrow in Berlin the conference part of SES Berlin starts. This event is hosted for the first time in the German capital. And in an historical year, where Berlin celebrates the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. Many German search marketers and those interested in search will head over to Berlin to be part of SES Berlin 2009.

Searchcowboys will be present at SES Berlin to report what is going on at the conference. We will be talking to speakers, reporting the sessions and shooting some pictures. On top of that we will also be doing a special Searchcowboys podcast show on Webmasterradio. Searchcowboys and Webmasters on the Roof, the German show from Marcus Tandler, will join forces and do a combined show coming from SES. Be sure to tune in!

To give you an idea of what you can expect in the coming days here a quick overview of some of the speakers and sessions at SES Berlin:

Opening keynote
On the first day we will have an interesting start of the day when both Google and Microsoft take the stage. Google Country Director Lars Lehne and Microsoft's Director of Search Stefan Weitz will be interviewed on stage by Mike Grehan in one of the few panels in English. Without a doubt Mike will ask questions on the competition between Bing and Google. Let's hope they will give some interesting insights!

Search Around the World
Search Around the World is the second all-english panel at SES Berlin, which is mostly in German. On stage we will see a discussion between Andy Atkins Kruger, Anne Kennedy, Motoko Hunt, Ian McAnerin and Erica Schmidt. International Search is a very interesting topic which brings a long a lot of questions so we are looking forward to that one!

Advanced Paid Search Techniques
After lunch the paid search techniques presented by some of Germanies most experienced search marketers is a must see for everybody. Here Searchcowboy Evert Veldhuijzen for example will be presenting some very interesting insights.

Linkbuilding Strategies 2009
This session is a must see for everybody. Five outstanding linkbuilders take the stage: Christoph Cemper, Nina Baumann, Marcus Tandler, Sebastian Wenzel and last but certainly not least Ralph Tegtmeier, aka Fantomaster. We are hoping to see some great linkbuilding tips here!

Bill Hunt
On the second day Bill Hunt will kick things off with a review of the current state of search marketing and his view of the future.

SEO Mythbusters
A session which is bound to be successful is SEO Mythbusters. In this session experts will give some very exciting information.
