SMX London goes advanced Last year SMX London closed one track just before the conference started. It was the most basic track which was canceled, making SMX a bit more advanced than other years. This year SMX London takes the full step towards Advanced. In the press release Danny Sullivan, SMX Advanced program chair, says: “SMX Advanced’s unique format has been very successful in Seattle. Adding London is ideal, given its sophisticated search marketing community, topics at Advanced are discussed at a very high level, so there’s no slowing down to bring beginners up to speed. This format isn’t for everyone, and we have other conferences that address the needs of beginners, but experienced search marketers have embraced Advanced enthusiastically,” It makes sense for SMX London to make the move to the advanced area. As said the first step towards that was already taken during the last SMX London. It will also give them more of a competitive position towards other events in London, like SES London. SMX events in for example Stockholm and Munich will probably not go the advanced way.
