Next week in London at A4UExpo a lot of search-speakers and panellists are there to show the affiliates how they do their job and give hints and tips on search and social media. Going up to the conference Bas van den Beld and Jon Myers discuss the sessions they are in with several speakers. You will be presented with these interviews going up to the conference. This morning we talk to Lisa Myers.
Lisa Myers, previously known as Lisa Ditlefsen, is the owner of Vervesearch, a London based SEO-company. She will be speaking on the analytics panel "Barriers to Conversion & Discovering Untapped Opportunities With Analytics" together with Will Critchlow and Joanna Butler.

Could you tell us who you are?
I’m Lisa Myers (previously Lisa Ditlefsen but I got bored with people trying to pronounce it so found a good looking guy in Search and married him so I could have a normal name. But now people can’t spell my name!) I’m the Director and founder of Search agency ‘Verve Search’ in the UK and founder of SEO-chicks.com blog. I have worked in Search for about 5 years, speak regularly at industry conferences, contribute to publications on and offline and have also written a few chapters on SEO in a Marketing book and in a best practise Search Marketing guide. Lastly, but not least blog about Search here on Searchcowboys as well as on my company blog and SEO-Chicks.
What will your session be about at A4U Expo and what will you be talking about in specific?
I’m speaking on the Web Analytics panel, it is in fact my first speaking engagement on web analytics. Don’t worry I’m not new to web analytics (on the conterary, I LOVE analytics...it’s like geek heaven) but I’ve just never spoken on the subject at a conference before. I’m on a great panel with 2 other great search specialists (Will Critchlow and Joanna Butler) and we have talked allot beforehand about what each person is covering so not to overlap too much. I will be talking about the very specifics of tracking Google Local Business Listings (local) and Universal Search. I’m going to aim to give very specific advice on how to do this, no sales pitch just plain and simple “how tos’. Really looking forward to it actually.
What makes A4U Expo a conference you want to be speaking at?
I have heard great things about the A4U conference series from other places in Europe. Allot of people have been talking about how great the A4U conference was in Holland. I also want to learn more about affiliate marketing, to answer some of the previous question. Affiliate and SEO is very closely linked, it’s all about generating traffic. I think Affiliate marketing can add value to a SEO campaign and vice versa. Also affiliate marketers are very smart people (they have to be to get ahead in the competitive market that is affiliate) so hoping it will rub off on me ;p
Why should we visit your session?
Analytics is one area you absolutely can’t do without if your company/client needs an online present. Analytics is like the left side of the brain of marketing, half a brain is no brainer J (wow it’s been a long day, probably shouldn’t do interviews like this at the end of the day. I’m making no sense whatsoever)
Which other session will you be visiting and believe that others should?
As many as I can, as I said before I really want to learn more about affiliate marketing and this conference comes highly recommended.
