It really comes into play when you think of what IT needs as a combination of services i.e. capability, capacity, storage and security all of this now can be provided by ‘the cloud’, a virtualized service. So why use ‘the Cloud’ firstly it has low capital expenditure as all you need is a computer and all the IT you need can then can be bought over net, it’s on demand, delivered by the minute or hour, and its elastic you have as much as you want. So what exactly are the limitations, how do decide on who/what to use and what could be the pit falls, these as some of the issues that will be discussed further in the conference! |
