Yandex means business: launches sitesearch

Yandex is already the biggest in Russia, which by the way is Europe's 4th largest Internet market according to Quintura. But Yandex wants to keep on growing. That's why they launched a new feature: sitesearch.

With a piece of embedded code any website owber can now put Yandex.site on their website, making the site searchable. And it can be profitable too. When part of the Yandex Advertising Network you get 50% of revenue from clicks to Yandex search ads displayed alongside search results.... read more

"Mr Search" asked about all the Yahoo tools: what was going to happen with them? The answer Bartz and Ballmer gave was very political: it wasn't really an answer.

In the days after the announcement speculation started about what the future of apps like Delicious and Flickr would be, but more important for SEO's: what is going to happen with all the handy data, tools and modules Yahoo delivers. Most thought of scenario: Microsoft will either kill the services or monetize them. Click Fraud Rate drops to 12.7%

The Click Fraud Index, which is an initiative of Click Forensics, shows that in the second quarter of 2009 click fraud is down over 1% compared to the first quarter.

Compared to a year ago the click fraud rate  has dropped even more: from 16,2% in Q2 2008 to 12,7% this quarter. Also click fraud traffic from sophisticated sources and scripted programs rose again in Q2 2009.... read more
