The Importance Of The PPC Header

Earlier this week Kate Morris posted a guest post on Searchcowboys. She wrote about writing PPC ads. On this same topic she spoke at SMX London several weeks ago. There she was in a session with amongst others Kerstin Baker, Guy Levine and moderator Jon Myers.

A post which was supposed to go online when SMX finished, but didn't because the laptop it was on crashed, is posted here below. It talks about this session where lots of good information was provided about setting up headers for PPC-ads.... read more

Google launches Adsense for Mobile Applications

Thu 25 June 2009 14:07, Bas van den Beld

Google believes in mobile, and why shouldn't they? The mobile web has seen a huge growth in the last couple of years, mostly after the introduction of the iPhone (which is peculiar because on that device you can look at 'normal' sites).

Mobile advertising though hasn't kept up to the pace with the mobile usage. After all, who will click on an add on his phone? Well Google believes a lot of people will. As long as its a usefull ad. Therefore they launched AdSense for Mobile Applications.

AdSense for Mobile Applications allows developers to earn revenue by displaying text and image ads in their iPhone and Android applications. So not just the mobile web, but the mobile applications. That's where Google is focussing on. And that's where it should be. In the video below AdSense for Mobile Applications is discussed.

The BBC must be one of those. They implemented no less than eleven map applications, varying from a Cannes 2009 Map to Wimbledon 2009 and an Irish Language Map.... read more

Czechs get to vote on Streetview sites

While in some countries they try to stop the Google Streetview cars in the Czech Republic they are turning the picture taking into a contest.

Google started to take pictures for Streetview in Prague in the beginning of May. But they feel the Czech Republic has got more to offer than just Prague. Google, together with the CzechTourism Agency decided to ask the users which sites or symbols should not be missed in the Czech version of Streetview.... read more
