Universal mobile search now in over 60 countries

Google has released their mobile universal results pages in over 60 countries world wide. The new format is now available on all featured device models, so not just the iPhone or Android anymore. The universal search is supported by 38 languages.

Google launched the service in the US back in December and then added 20 more countries last March. Now with 40 more countries and compatibility with all devices Google feels its 'concurring' the mobile search world.... read more

Europe still waiting for the 'Bingvasion'

In the last month (June) Bing has taken a market share of 1,56% in Europe. That's what numbers of Statcounter show when it comes to stats of search engines in Europe. With that Bing takes a bigger part of the market then Windows Live (0,72%) did in the entire last year, but it's only a small gain. Yahoo is still second in Europe with a market share of 2,09%

The rise of Bing isn't going as fast as in the US. There Bing made a market share of 8,23% in June, thus closing the gap with Yahoo fast, which is on 11,04%. Google is still the dominant force in both Europe (94% according to Statcounter) and the US (78%).... read more
